As a young boy Don commenced a life of boating gaining extensive experiences in boat handling, sailing, racing, building, restorations, maintenance, boating camaraderie and above all, sailing enjoyment. With Bluffers Park Yacht Club as his home base, Don currently sails a C&C 34, "Caviar III" with his wife Sandy. Over many years, Don's knowledge has led to unofficial marine surveys assisting many individuals in making critical decisions in terms of purchase, repair and restoration. In association with Ray, Stephen, Paul and Q.C. Marine Surveyors, Don further extends his knowledge and experience to individuals seeking timely and affordable marine surveys.
Following a lifetime of
generally messing about in boats, restoration of old wooden boats and always
being there to help others work on their ‘good old boats’, Paul has joined with
Don and Stephen and will work out of Napanee and servicing the surrounding
Bay of Quinte area. In addition to his marine expertise,
Paul brings to Q.C. Marine Surveyors thirty-eight years of training, knowledge
and hands on skills in the aircraft building industry as a fully qualified
electrical and avionics specialist. This experience and responsibility, without
question, taught him the importance of being detailed and thorough in his work. Paul currently lives on
the shore of Hay Bay with his CS 33 – Enavigo, either moored offshore or at the
dock. Hay Bay and Ram Island are favorite stop overs for many of us on the
way to Picton, and the Thousand Islands, or simply cruising the Bay of Quinte.
